Ruby Ella Sinclair, a longtime Raymond resident died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Willapa Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center; she was 82. Ruby was born January 19, 1931 in Baker, Montana to Alfred and Esther (Good) Cox. Ruby and her family moved to Willapa Harbor in 1934. She was a graduate of Raymond High School with the class of 1949. During a trip back to her home town in Montana she met Bently Sinclair. The couple dated for a few years in Montana and had their first son, Terry. Bently saw a job notice for the Weyerhaeuser mill; moving the new family of three back to Raymond. Ruby and Bently had two more sons, Kenny and Larry; all three sons survive her in Raymond. Ruby worked as a nurse’s aide at the Willapa Harbor Hospital for many years as well as the Willapa Harbor Care Center. Back in the day, Ruby and her father Alfred had a duet band called the “B2’s†, traveling a small circuit and playing their hearts out. She enjoyed reading and loved her books. Quilting was also a hobby for Ruby. A gathering will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Elks Club in Raymond. Arrangements are in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
