Richard Carter

Richard Eric Carter of Camas, WA passed on March 29, 2016. He was born in Raymond, WA August 9, 1968. He graduated with honors from Raymond High School, class of 1986, and went on to graduate from WSU in 1990 with a degree in accounting. He lived in Seattle for 10 years working in the accounting field before entering his 14-year career in the insurance industry. He was a lifetime member of the Raymond Elks Lodge and has been a Seattle Mariners Season Ticket Holder for the past 25 years. Rich is survived by his daughter Vienna Frances Carter (11) of Vancouver, WA and his parents Dick and Fran Carter of Olympia, WA. He is also survived by his grandfather Richard Carter, great aunt Earlene Nichols and family, uncle Larry Carter and wife Diane, uncle Woody Pierson, Sr. and wife Carol, cousins Woody Pierson, Jr. and wife Teri and family all of Long Beach and Bennie Sue (Pierson) Ahrens and husband Ernie and family of Chehalis; additionally, his great aunt Kenne-Jean (Woodall) Irbe and family of Clarksville, TN and two more aunts, Charlene Westbrook of Mt. Home, ID and Joanne Ashley of Half Moon Bay, CA and their families. He is also survived by his aunt Katie (Litschke) Engel and husband Jim, and cousins Jim Engel and wife Tammie and family of Chinook, Rob Engel of Onalaska, WI and family, Sarah (Engel)Kirsch and husband Jeff and family of Battleground, WA, uncle Fred Litschke of Prineville, OR and his daughter Kate (Litschke) Guerrero and family of Kitsap County. A celebration of life will be held in Rich’s honor at the Raymond Elks Lodge Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Remembrances in his name can be made to the L.V. & Stella J.
