Richard Barbee

Richard “Dick†Allen Barbee passed away on April 14, 2018, at Cascade Park Gardens, a memory wellness care facility in Tacoma. He was 71 years old and a long-time resident of Raymond, WA. He was born in Colfax, WA, on September 5, 1946, to Robert Bernard and June Maude (Hobbs) Barbee. His Mother, June, remarried and Dick was raised by Orville “Bud†Mestrovich and June, in Raymond. As a young boy, Dick was a member of the Cub Scouts. He was always busy had many interests. He peeled cascara bark, collected arrowheads near the Willapa River, built things, entertained his little brother and sister, helped Dad with projects around the home, and palled around his older brother Bob, as well as with the many children around his age in Baleville. Dick spent his summers on his father’s family farms in Pullman, WA and Genesee, ID, helping during harvest time and going on fun family vacations.
