Maxine Gueffroy

Maxine Gueffroy, a longtime McCleary resident, died Monday, August 11, 2014 at her home; she was 76. Maxine was born June 29, 1938 at Taylor, ID to Durlin and Nilda (Cox) Wadsworth. She graduated from South Bend High School in 1956. Maxine was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, entertaining friends and family and loving her children. She spent time outside gardening and working with horses. Maxine is survived by her husband Raymond Gueffroy of McCleary; two sons Bill (Denise) Rowlett of Raymond, Tracy (Alisha) Rowlett of Fairview, MT; two daughters Tina (Jim) Lewis of Conroe, TX and Teresa (Scott) Westerback of The Dalles, OR. She is also survived by a brother, Gerald (Mary) Wadsworth of Raymond and a sister Marlene Wardle of Idaho Falls, ID; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregivers and friends, Lilian and Linda and Harbors Home Health & Hospice of Grays Harbor and Maxine’s neighbor Julie, who was always there with a helping hand. Memorial services for Maxine will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
