Marlene Nyland

Marlene A. (Chris) Nyland, a South Bend resident died Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Willapa Harbor Health & Rehabilitation Center in Raymond; she was 77. Chris was born October 3, 1937 in Port Angeles, WA to Albert W. and Irene (Rice) Christian. She married Gary Nyland in Malott, WA; he survives her at the family home in South Bend. Chris was a wonderful homemaker, enjoyed Bingo, crafting, Casinos and Slots, outdoor adventures, snowmobiling, river rafting, archery and boating. She was a member of the Eagles Women’s Auxiliary #1631. Chris is survived by a son James Carter of Bonney Lake, WA; two daughters, Michelle Donahue of Everett and Cindy Comeau of Renton and three step daughters, Colleen Arndt of Auburn, Leslie Davis of Marysville and Christine Nyland of Puyallup; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive her. She will be deeply missed. Private memorial services will be held. Cremation arrangements were in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
