Lawrence “Larry†Michael Hudziak, a lifetime Lebam resident died Friday June 7, 2013 at the Providence St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia. He was born August 11, 1937 in Raymond to Alfred and Helen (Kanick) Hudziak. Larry embraced his whole community and took great joy in helping others. He was a talented teacher and coach for the Willapa Valley School District, and a respected role-model of life-long learning. He received awards of appreciation from the staff, student body and booster club. Larry was also an artist: his creativity and sense of humor were at the heart of his way to contribute. His approach was loving and light-hearted. Always generous with his time and money, Larry was recognized by Pacific County Fire district 3 for his 35 years as a volunteer fireman, as well as by the Pacific County Fair for his years of outstanding support. Many asked him to M.C. at various occasions and celebrations. He traveled to numerous countries, and enjoyed winemaking, keeping bees, hunting, fishing and cars. Larry was a very loving and caring son -- sentimental at heart; he gave his mother a red rose for every year of her age on her birthday. Larry was preceded in death by a sister Dolores Hudziak and is survived by two brothers, Bud (Kay) Hudziak of Brush Prairie, WA and John (Margie) Hudziak of Seattle. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church Alter Society.
