Mary Jane (Frank) Nyland, a lifetime Bay Center resident died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at her home in Bay Center; she was 90. Jane was born February 8, 1925 in Bay Center, WA to Dave and Ella (Johns) Frank. She worked for an oyster cannery for many years. Jane was a member of the Raymond Lady Eagles, V.F.W., American Legion and Ladies Elks Auxiliary. She loved attending Bingo nights, growing all things in her garden and was a wonderful cook and canner. Jane will be missed by many. She is survived by three daughters, Gwen Snodgrass of Raymond, Melba Tolliver of Bay Center and Crystal Boothe of Rainier, OR. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as a special niece Delsa Lawson of Kinnear, WY and loving friend Lila also survive Jane. She was preceded in death by sisters Regina, Esther, and Violet; brothers Willard, David, Wesley and Mel, and children Rita Johnston, Ronda Axford, Kim Bennett and Violet Bennett. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Bay Center Cemetery, a celebration of Jane’s life will be held immediately following services at the Raymond Elks Lodge. Memorial donations in Jane’s name may be made to Willapa Harbor Helping Hands. Arrangements were in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
