Jacqueline McVittie

Jacqueline D. “Jackie†McVittie, a lifetime Pacific County resident died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Maple Street Manor. She was born September 8, 1923 in Raymond, WA to Sherman and Ellen (Haakvist) Basore. Mrs. McVittie was a Raymond High School graduate. She married Norm Rickert in 1942 and they later divorced. She remarried to Earl “Mike†McVittie in 1970; he preceded her in death in 2000. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors. Jackie is survived by daughters Robin Berry of Oregon City, OR and Maureen Rickert of Puget Island, WA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild as well as a sister, Maxine Matton of Stuart, FL. She was also preceded in death in 2005 by a son Jerry Rickert and a daughter Dianne Samples. Donations in Jackie’s memory may be made to any local Humane Organization. Burial was held at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo. Arrangements were in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
