Doris Leona Porter went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at age 92. Doris was born to Leland and Ella (Ellis) Phillips on March 12, 1928 in Douglas, Wyoming. As a child, she helped with the family farm in Glendo, Wyoming before moving to Raymond at age 11. Doris met her husband, Delford Porter while attending school in Raymond. They married August 10, 1945. They went on to have two children Denny and Don. In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, she also enjoyed yard work, embroidery, being with family and cooking for everyone. Doris took pride while working for the Dennis Company in Raymond for over 25 years. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God and was a dedicated member of Crossroads Church. Doris is survived by her brother Paul Phillips of Oregon, her sister Kathy James of California and her sons Denny (Phebe) Porter and Don (Betty) Porter and grandchildren Neil (Tatty) Porter, Darren (Judi) Porter, Ryan (Donna) Porter, Denise (Bill) Rowlett, and Sunny Lay, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Leland and Ella Phillips, her husband Delford, her brothers Dan Phillips and Ray Phillips.
