Dale Peter

Lifelong Pacific County resident, Dale O’Connor, 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10. He was born December 7, 1938 in Raymond to Thomas and Agnes O’Connor. Dale was raised in Long Beach and graduated from Ilwaco High School in 1956. He worked several years in the timber industry before beginning a 25 year career with the Pacific County Road Department from which he retired in 1995. Dale enjoyed woodworking, gardening and visiting our nations National Parks. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Leona, of the family home in South Bend, and three children, Dawn Lorton and husband John of South Bend, Michael O’Connor and wife Lisa of Lake Stevens, and Timothy and wife Tina of Modesto, CA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry and sister Carolyn. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday 18th at the South Bend First Baptist Church. Donations in Dale’s memory can be made to Willapa Harbor Helping Hands at P.O.
