Cynthia Frank

April 10, 1953 — December 8, 2024

Cynthia “Cindy” Frank (71) passed away December 8, 2024. She was the eldest of her siblings and loved by all of her family and friends.

Born April 10, 1953 in South Bend, WA, Cindy Frank was the daughter of David "Bug" Frank II and Ethel Marie Frank of Bay Center. Cindy went to Bay Center Elementary through 8th grade then transferred to South Bend. She played sports at and graduated from South Bend High School. She took some nursing classes at UW and later studied towards getting her ministerial license.

Cindy was a great woman of faith who prayed always and loved to serve others using her many gifts. Cindy was an amazing singer, guitarist, and pianist. She wrote and is most known for her song “A Million Teardrops”. Cindy was very active in her church where she helped her best friend of many years Mary Whovery wherever she was able (baking, cooking, driving, singing, playing the guitar, playing the piano, praying, teaching, Sunday school, and feeding the homeless). She traveled with her friend Mary to Alaska and Hawaii which were some of her highlights for traveling. Cindy never spoke any unkind words towards anyone and would instead pray for everyone. She was an aunt and spiritual mother to many.

Cindy was the oldest of her siblings and the only girl with three younger brothers. She was known for and enjoyed helping get her brothers in line as they were growing up. She carried this on with her nephews and nieces, always encouraging them to go to church and praying with and for each of them.

Cindy was a proud, active member of the Chinook and Quinault tribes. Cindy enjoyed picking blackberries growing up which many cousins can provide fun stories about. Cindy shook crab at Harbor Bell. Cindy thoroughly enjoyed digging razor clams with her families members on the WA coastal beaches as well as on the Willapa Spits. She could out dig many men who were half her age! Cindy also commercially fished with her dad David (Bug) Frank and brothers on the Chehalis River, Palix River and Willapa River.

Cindy also did a LOT of driving for her family members and for clients in around the areas where she resided. She loved helping people so this was one of the many great ways she was able to do that.

Cindy is survived by her siblings Herb Frank and Steven Frank; her nephew’s Derick Frank, Kyle Frank, and Chris Frank; her niece’s Angie Frank, Stacy Anderson-Frank, Samantha Eller (Frank), Stephanie Terrell (Frank), and Amanda Frank. Cindy is also survived by many great nephews and nieces as well as many many cousins!

Cindy Frank is preceded in death by her father David (Bug) Frank II, mother Marie Frank, brother David (Bugzy) Frank III and her nephew David Frank IV.

Cindy’s nephew Chris Frank will be sharing the details of Cindy’s celebration of life. Please reach out to him or other close relatives if you are interested in attending.
