Betty Kaline

Mrs. Kaline, a resident of Raymond, Washington died August 28, 2018. She was born in San Diego, California on February 21, 1927 to Earl and Jean Downs. From the age of eight her Mother and Stepfather Ben Szabo raised her. After her marriage she gave birth to her daughter Jo Ann. Before leaving San Diego, Betty was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist church on June 1, 1963 along with her husband and daughter. Betty was very active in her church, including working at the church\\'s Navajo mission in Monument Valley, Utah for two years. She leaves behind her daughter Jo Ann Drake of Raymond, grandsons Jason Drake of Bonney Lake and Joshua Drake of Nisqually, her granddaughter Jamell Williams of Aberdeen, several great-grandchildren, niece Dr. Eugenia Nitowski, nephew Larry Sabin, cousin Joyce Varanfakis. Her husband Walter Kaline, mother, father, stepfather and sister Carole all preceded Betty in death. She will be missed by family and many, many friends, but her message to all is: miss me but let me go... Arrangements are in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
