Anna Lunsford

Anna "Ann" Lunsford of King City, OR passed away on June 17th, 2023 at the age of 87.

 

Anna was born July 29, 1935 to Isak Arvid and Agnes (Loflund) Strand at home on the family farm in Woodland, WA.  She went to Battle Ground High School, class of 1953.

 

Anna married Ben Lunsford August 1, 1953.  After marriage, they moved to Raymond, WA where she worked at Bendickson's and then Coast Oyster Company for 26 years.  She and Ben then purchased Ben's Auto and Tire in South Bend, WA which she continued to own until moving to King City, OR to be closer to her family.

 

Anna loved the mountains, adventures in the woods, camping, clam digging, picking berries, gardening, and most of all her family.

 

She is survived by her daughter Susie (Ron) Bamer of McMinnville, OR, grandson Isaac (Jennifer) Bamer, great grandchildren Ellie, Millie, and Peter Bamer of Portland, OR, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ben, her son Benny, grandson Eric, her sisters Olga, Astrid, and MaryAnn, and her parents.
